After winning Patrick Pitbull and win the Bellator featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg), A. J. McKee showed himself willing to face the division's elite fighters. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', however, the UFC champion, Alexander Volkanovsky, ruled out the possibility of facing the North American at the moment.

“Is he high level? It might be. However, you have to fight against the best and then have a chance at the top. That's not how it happens. I saw the highlights (of the fight against Pitbull) and he looked good, but it's a completely different game,” said Volkanovski.

The Ultimate champion even highlighted the level of competitiveness in the organization where he holds the featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg). The fighter also stated that there is a difference between the UFC and other franchises.

“It wouldn't be fair for him to have a chance to fight the UFC champion right away, as we have a line of 'assassins' who want to reach the top. They fought each other to get there and, no offense, but the competition (in the UFC) is a little different”, concluded the fighter.
