The imposing victory of Cyryl Gane in the face of dangerous Derrick Lewis filled the eyes of Ultimate's president, Dana White. Keeping an eye on the main fight of UFC 265, held this Saturday (7), in Houston (USA), the president surrendered to the talent of the Frenchman, who won the interim heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg.) this weekend. In a press conference after the 'show', the 'boss' was full of praise for the athlete, but avoided setting a date for the superfight against Francis Ngannou.

“At the conference (fight week) someone said I called (Gane) a 'boring' fighter. I don't remember saying that. (…) I think this guy has style. He's a big, strong heavyweight. He moves like a middleweight (up to 83,9kg.). We saw what he was able to do with Derrick Lewis. (…) He completely dominated, he made it look easy against a guy who can 'turn off the lights' with just one blow. This kid is very talented,” White said.

With the victory in front of Lewis, Ciryl is left with the dream fight against the feared Francis Ngannou, owner of the group's linear belt. Asked when the duel to unify the title will take place, Dana avoided specifying the date.

“I never know (immediately) when the fights are going to happen. Let’s do it as soon as possible”, concluded Dana.
