Advances in vaccination against Covid-19 around the world, in an attempt to reduce cases in the face of the pandemic, remain taboo for some people. UFC President, Dana White adopted a flexible stance and left it up to his fighters to decide whether or not to take the vaccine. In an interview with 'TSN', the agent spoke about the subject.

“I would never tell another human being what to do with their body. If you want to get vaccinated, it's your decision. You will never hear me forcing anyone to take the vaccine. It’s not going to happen,” White said.
Responsible for managing Ultimate shows, White stated that, in some places in the United States, people were fired for refusing to comply with the world order campaign. According to the president, the scenario he narrates will not happen in the UFC.
“That won’t happen here. If you want to get vaccinated, get vaccinated. If not, it’s your decision, friend,” he declared.
Finally, White was calm knowing that his opinion could conflict with the preventive policy of some states that require proof of vaccination for some activities. Without hesitation, the president of Ultimate admitted that everything is a matter of finding a new space to promote his events.
“I go to places where I can hold a normal event. I said I would be the first and I would do the first crowded event without social distancing, masks or any of those things. We did it in Florida, Texas, Arizona, in (Las) Vegas. (…) We don’t know what will happen in the future. I wasn't ready a year and a half ago, and now I'm ready for anything. I don't care what happens, how states manage their issues. (…) I’m ready”, he concluded.
At the helm of Ultimate for over 20 years, Dana is competing for the 'Sportsmanship' award at the 'MMA Oscar'. The organization's justification was due to the promoter's commitment to resuming UFC activities at a time when several sports leagues had interrupted their tournaments.
