Although I no longer work with Vitor belfort, Dana White has plenty of reasons to support the Brazilian in the boxing superfight against Oscar De La Hoya, on September 11th. A self-confessed enemy of the legendary boxer, the UFC president does not hide his preference for a victory for the Brazilian. The commotion is so great that the 'boss' made a special request to the 'Phenomenon'.

“I'm praying that Vitor knocks out that drugged head, and hard. Run him over savagely”, asked White, in an interview with 'The Pat McAfee Show'.

Disaffected by Hoya for years, White, however, shows respect for the boxer as a fighter. According to the Ultimate boss, the confrontation will put two big names in martial arts face to face.

“As much as I can’t stand that idiot, De La Hoya is real. When we were good, I was actually present at his training. Just his jab could knock someone out. At his peak, he was unbeatable. This is a fight between two real guys. I think Vitor has the knockout power, but De La Hoya is no joke”, said Dana.

The confrontation between Belfort and Oscar will mark the return of both in professional fights. While the 44-year-old Brazilian has not competed since 2018 (MMA), the 48-year-old boxing veteran returns to the ring after more than 10 years of inactivity.
