“Nowadays, if we stop and think coldly, I think this way (about having rushed to fight for the title). Of course I took a big shot to hit big. I didn't do a process like I'm trying to do now. I want one step at a time, to get there, win and win until I reach the fight for the title, well prepared, having already gone through everything I have to go through to be champion”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with 'Combate'.

The former featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg.), then, analyzed the confrontation against Peter Munhoz.

“Pedro has his style, I have mine, very aggressive, and I think the fans benefit from that. It's all still very new for me at bantamweight, but of course I've seen his fights, we analyze that to do the training. I think I have to be careful not only with him, but with anyone else, which is not to get hit. (…) I respect his style, the way he fights, but I have to get there, do my thing, what I trained and that way I will reach victory. I think that in all areas I have to respect, be careful, both on his feet and on the ground, he has good shots, we have to be careful”, he said.
