After knocking out Cheick Kongo at UFC 159 and earning his third consecutive victory, Roy Nelson He is already starting to think about his next challenges in the heavyweight category. In the press conference held after the event, this Saturday (27), the fighter made it clear that he is already watching his potential opponents, who, according to Nelson himself, are scheduled to fight in the 160th edition of Ultimate, in May.
“I will definitely watch UFC 160 in Las Vegas to see who will win. I want to fight the best in the world,” he said. At the same press conference, Ultimate's president, Dana White, revealed that the organization's plans include a duel against another opponent, but did not rule out a confrontation between Nelson and Hunt. “We like Roy Nelson vs Daniel Cormier. And Roy Nelson vs Mark Hunt, if Hunt wins”, declared the director.
Roy “Big Country” Nelson is 36 years old and has been fighting MMA professionally since 2004. The winner of the tenth season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter has a record of 19 wins and seven losses.
