On the rise in MMA, A. J. McKee wants to expand his fame to another sport. Executioner of Patrick Pitbull No. Bellator 263, this Saturday (31), in Los Angeles (USA), the new featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.) admitted his desire to test himself against Floyd Mayweather, boxing legend. At the press conference after the show, the star spoke about the subject.

“I would have a lot of respect for him (Floyd). I'm the best in my sport and he's in his. I would love to share this moment. (…) These younger guys who are in the sport like this, with all due respect, they have something to prove. I have nothing to prove in boxing. I want to be known as better and enjoy the moment against a great athlete in his sport. I hope it happens one day. He told me he won't fight anymore. You never know,” he revealed.
Over the weekend, McKee made history by dethroning one of Bellator's biggest names. Facing Pitbull, AJ didn't give the potiguar a chance and 'erased' the former champion in the first round.
With the triumph, the athlete ended a hegemony that began in 2017. A legend of the organization, Patrício had not lost a match since 2016.
At 26 years old, AJ extended his undefeated career. Now, the young man has 18 positive results in a row.
