At the end of the preliminary card of the UFC Las Vegas 33, Chris Gruetzmacher defeated Rafa Garcia by unanimous decision of the side judges. The two lightweights (up to 70,3 kg) had a well-balanced fight with a lot of emotions, just like the rest of the card.

In the third fight on the preliminary card of the UFC Las Vegas 33, valid for straw weight (up to 52,1 kg), Jinh Yu Frey derrotou Ashley yoder by unanimous decision of the side judges.
It was Frey's second consecutive victory in the division. She was coming off a defeat against the Brazilian Glorinha de Paula. Yoder, in turn, lost his second in a row and has four defeats in his last five appearances.

Valid for flyweight (up to 56,7 kg), the duel between Ryan Benoit and Zarrukh Adashev delivered everything an MMA fan wants to see right from the start. The first round was fought almost entirely on the feet, with many twists and turns. Using his roots in kickboxing, Adashev delivered the greatest amount of hard blows, mainly to the opponent's leg. Benoit, however, managed a knockdown in the final stretch of the round.
In the next two rounds, Adashev took advantage of the swelling in Benoit's leg, bet on movement to make his opponent walk the entire time and controlled the fight until the end, winning his first victory in Ultimate by unanimous decision. Benoit, in turn, lost his third in a row in the organization.
