Video: AJ McKee 'takes' belt from Patrício Pitbull, angers champion and athletes almost fight at press conference

The weather heats up days before Bellator 263 and the rivalry is fueled for this Saturday's duel; confrontation worth title and winning the GP

Peace is over. At the press conference to promote the Bellator 263, held this Thursday afternoon (29), in California (USA), Patrick Pitbull e A. J. McKee They fell out and almost came to blows. The beginning of confusion happened after the challenger mentioned the Brazilian's family, who didn't like it at all and wanted to express satisfaction. On Saturday (31), the native of Rio Grande do Norte will defend the featherweight belt (up to 65,7kg), in addition to trying to win the category's GP.

During the press conference, which lasted around 30 minutes, everything went well, with light provocations on both sides. With just a few minutes remaining, however, McKee answered a question and stated that he would beat Pitbull in front of his wife and son.

Upon noticing the challenger's speech, the Brazilian became visibly irritated and responded, stating that he would defeat AJ in front of his father, former fighter Antonio McKee, who was present at the table. Patrício continued attacking his opponent, until he suggested starting the duel earlier (see below), and stood up next to his rival.

The protagonists of the show were quickly separated, but soon, tempers flared again. Afterwards, the North American grabbed the Brazilian's belt from the table, which provoked the athlete's anger.

The duel between Patrício and McKee is highly anticipated by MMA enthusiasts. The fight between the featherweights is considered, by many, as the biggest in the history of the organization.

Over the weekend, Pitbull will look to maintain his reign. To do this, the Brazilian will need to take away AJ's unbeaten record in his career, who has never been beaten in 17 matches.
