Ultimate promise ignores disputed result at UFC Vegas and calls for fight against former flyweight challenger

Pivot of a major controversy in UFC Las Vegas 32, Maycee barber ignored the controversial result in the face of Miranda maverick and is already looking at the next appointment. Promising flyweight (up to 56,7kg), the North American understands that it is time to move up in the category and proposed a confrontation against Jessica Eye, former title challenger. The combatant took the opportunity to praise the veteran, who is going through a bad time.

“Honestly, I would love this fight. I really want to face her. She is a legend of the sport, she faced all the girls and is a challenger”, said Barber, in an interview with 'BJPenn.com'.

The praise didn't stop there. Even knowing that Eye's moment is not the best, Maycee ignored the American's negative record and reinforced Jessica's achievements in the UFC.

“You can't think about MMA and UFC without Jessica Eye. She did everything. (…) She IS a ranked competitor, she is above me. It fits perfectly,” she stated.

At 24 years old, Maycee, last weekend, ended a streak of two consecutive defeats. The athlete, who debuted undefeated in Ultimate, now has nine triumphs in 11 commitments in the sport.

Challenger for the flyweight title in 2019, when she was badly beaten by Valentina Shevchenko, Jessica is going through a complicated time in mixed martial arts. Defeated by Jennifer maia in July, the American hadn't won in three fights and had eight setbacks in her last 12 engagements.
