TJ Dillashaw will undergo knee surgery after victory over Cory Sandhagen at UFC Las Vegas 32

Upon his return to the Octagon after more than two years away, the former champion suffered injuries to his meniscus and lateral collateral ligament.

After returning from more than two years of inactivity and defeating Cory Sandhagen in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 32, TJ Dillashaw will need to wait a little longer to step into the Octagon again. The former bantamweight champion suffered knee injuries and will have to undergo surgery.

Dillashow took to social media last Monday (26) to reveal that he suffered injuries to his lateral meniscus and lateral collateral ligament and that he should undergo surgery in the coming days.

“Nothing like being at home. I had an MRI today, found out I had lateral meniscus tears and a torn lateral collateral ligament at the end of the first round. The good news is that the wounds are repairable and you will have a very quick recovery. I will undergo surgery in the next few days. I loved being in the octagon, even though I had to overcome some adversity to get the victory. Thank you for your support and let the belt season begin”, said the former champion.

TJ Dillashaw derrotou Cory Sandhagen by split decision from the side judges in a very balanced duel in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 32, last Saturday (24). With the victory, it is likely that the former champion will have a chance to fight for the bantamweight title against the winner of the duel between aljamain sterling e Petr yan, UFC 267, in October.
