One of the protagonists of UFC Las Vegas 32 this Saturday (24), TJ Dillashaw carried harsh consequences of the duel against Cory Sandhagen. After two years of inactivity, the American surprised and won in a split decision from the judges. However, in a post-event press conference, he stated that he felt his knee in the first round, which affected his performance for a large part of the match.

“Unfortunately, after the first round, I couldn’t lift (my knee) anymore. I tried to take advantage of his back in the clinch position, but I couldn't even get my knee out. I tried to make some changes to my game and get up in the second round. Still, my knee wasn’t doing it,” Dillashaw said.
It does not stop there. In addition to not knowing whether he will need knee surgery, TJ stated that he also arrived at the fight with other problems – including a cut on his eyebrow.
“I had a very difficult training period. I couldn't train. I already had this cut, I couldn't train properly and I couldn't even stay healthy. I injured my foot nerve and had to train in shoes. I also injured my collateral ligament in my right knee, my left shoulder. It was very difficult training. I didn't want to talk about it so as not to make an 'excuse', but I didn't think about leaving the fight”, concluded the American.
In addition, TJ Dillashaw managed to overcome adversity and won Cory Sandhagen – second place – in the judges’ decision. He is now 'comfortable' in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg) and can challenge the winner of aljamain sterling e Petr yan, which must face each other in the UFC 267.
