Specialized press disagrees on the result of 'Barber x Maverick'; find out more

Mayce Barber's victory over Miranda maverick by a split decision of the judges in the UFC Las Vegas 32 turned into the big controversy of Saturday night (24). Even with the score in favor of number 14 in the ranking, the specialized press unanimously disagreed with the result.

In the official scoring, judges Sal D'Amato and Dave Hagen scored Mayce Barber's victory in the fight by 29×28. On the other hand, Chris Lee recorded the same score, however, in favor of Miranda maverick. Now on the specialized website 'MMA Decisions', all 22 voting journalists noted the score of 29x28 giving the triumph to Miranda maverick, a fact that generated great repercussion among fans and the press.

Number 14 in the flyweight rankings (up to 56,7kg), Mayce Barber now has a record of nine triumphs and two setbacks. Previously driven by seven consecutive victories, Miranda maverick suffered a setback in his career again. The 24-year-old fighter has a history of nine positive results and three negative results.
