“If I don't have any injuries after this fight, I definitely want to get another one. I have plans to win the belt. It doesn't matter if I need to face one, two, three or 100 people. I'm going to get this belt because that's my goal,” said Phillips in an interview with 'B.J. Penn'.
Showing respect for Raulian, the North American praised the Brazilian athlete's qualities but, also citing his strengths, showed confidence in his game to emerge victorious next Saturday (24).
“He’s tough, he’s got a lot of heart and he hits hard too. But I think I'm a pretty scary opponent for anyone, anywhere. Anyone who steps into the Octagon to fight me, there are a lot of areas in the game that I can go to. I mix speed, angles, pressure well and I'm aggressive”, concluded the 'The Matrix'.
With four consecutive victories in the organization, Phillips currently occupies fourteenth place in the under-61,2kg division. Undefeated in Ultimate, the North American boasts a record of nine triumphs and one setback.
