Cheick Kongo and Sergei Kharitonov face off as veterans in Bellator 265 main event in August

Cheick Kongo enters the Bellator cage for the first time this year. The 46-year-old Frenchman is coming off a defeat to Tim Johnson in November 2020, in a duel that was worth the opportunity to compete for the organization's heavyweight belt. Before losing to Johnson, Kongo had been on a nine-fight unbeaten streak, including eight wins and one without a result. The Parisian has a record of 30 wins, 11 losses, two draws and one unsuccessful fight.

On the other hand, Sergei Kharitonov returns to the organization's cage for the first time since November 2019, when he lost to Linton Vassell at Bellator 234. With remarkable stints in Pride and M-1, the Russian veteran fought his last fight for Modern Fighting Pankration , in November last year, when he defeated Oli Thompson by knockout in the first round. Kharitonov has a record of 30 wins, seven losses and two fights without result.

Another great duel on the card Bellator 265 is due to the featherweights (up to 65,7 kg) Adam Borics and Jay Jay Wilson. Whoever wins the duel will fight the winner of Patrick Pitbull vs AJ McKee for the division title.
