For Cory Sandhagen, TJ Dillashaw will have to live with the consequences of his doping punishment. O 'Sandman' heavily criticized the attitude of the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) and classified the use of illegal substances to gain an advantage in the octagon as 'disgusting'. The statement was given to journalist Brett Okamoto from 'ESPN' American.

“As a competitor and also as a person, really the only word I could say about it is.. it doesn't bother me. TJ has to live with TJ's decisions. I have to live with my decisions but it's a little gross, in my opinion, to put yourself at an illegal advantage in a combat scenario, in something you really love. If there's a word for it, it's kind of gross,” Dillashaw added.

In next Saturday's duel (24), TJ returns to the octagon after two years of suspension. In January 2019, Dillashaw was caught doping for the use of 'erytopoietin' (EPO). The substance is banned by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) and was used to help cut weight for the duel against Henry Cejudo, valid for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg).

Current number two in the bantamweight rankings, Sandhagen is in a great phase in his career. Hired in 2018 by Ultimate, the 'Sandman' suffered just one defeat in eight fights in the organization. The American has a record of 14 triumphs and two setbacks in his professional career.
