Involved in a controversy that made the news this week, Priscila Cachoeira, known as Pedrita, defended herself against accusations of aggression by her ex-partner, Marcelle Freitas Nunes. In the presence of her lawyer, the UFC fighter gave her version of the facts exclusively to SUPER FIGHTS. Willing to clarify the situation, the flyweight stated that her former girlfriend suffers from emotional imbalance and promised to take the case to justice, opening a lawsuit for slander and defamation.

Mental lack of control
In a relationship with Marcelle since 2018, Pedrita begins her defense by accusing her ex-girlfriend of a possible lack of emotional control. Excited, the Brazilian says that the problems between the two were due to jealousy on the part of Freitas, who did not react well to certain situations.
“I started to notice her (Marcelle) lack of mental control. She is a person who didn't help me at all, she was jealous of the relationships I had before her, on the team (PVRT). The fighter, when he is with his partner, wants someone to support him. (…) I didn’t have any of that. I always arrived home, and she was 'snooping' on my things, 'pulling' follower by follower (on social media), saying that she was giving in, that I was leaving, cheating. But, when we really like it, we always hope that the person will change. I always talked about this with her. She had very childish attitudes. (…) She started to get a really bad mood and, every time I tried to make the mood better, (…) she wanted to deprive me. Jealousy, fights, they wouldn’t let me send money to my family, to my son,” said Pedrita.
Marcelle's betrayals
Accused of betrayal by her ex-girlfriend, Priscila is incisive in contesting Marcelle's statement. The fighter says that there was, in fact, infidelity, but on the part of her former partner, as the Ultimate athlete narrates.
“I caught a lot of betrayal from her. (…) In one of our discussions, when I went to ask her, I caught her cheating when she was with me with a singer. I proposed to her in Pelotas (RJ), on stage, with the singers. My friends said: 'Pedrita, you're so stupid. You're proposing to a girl that everyone has already 'got'. She said no. I always believed her. When I met Marcelle, I already crashed in her room and she with a man. I have several 'prints' of her talking to 'millions' of men. It wasn't one, not two. It's 30, 40. I went through it all. Marcelle's reputation, in Bagé, is as a 'girl with a…'. I really liked her. I never raised my hand to this woman,” she said.
Psychological problems of the ex-partner
Defending herself against the accusations, Priscila continued to describe alleged disturbances demonstrated by Freitas. According to the fighter, her former girlfriend's history includes cases of attempted suicide and even attacks on her elderly parents.
“Did she tell you that she takes prescription medication? That she tried to commit suicide five times and her father had to take her to the hospital to have her stomach pumped? Did she say that she has 'things' in court (possible charges) of assault against her parents? She threw a 'fly' at her father, in front of me, because her father didn't want to lend her the bike”, said Pedrita.

According to Priscila, the attacks narrated by Marcelle are unfounded and, according to the athlete, the story is the opposite. The UFC fighter confirms that she was often attacked by her ex. Cachoeira then gives his version of the facts.
“She attacked me and I have proof of that. I have evidence of her breaking glass and this will go to court,” she admitted.

In order to prove her innocence in the case, Priscila says she is a victim of untruths and is willing to take the case to justice. At the moment (see the video above), the combatant is showing a police report filed against Marcelle. The flyweight's intention is to sue Freitas for slander and defamation.
“I am filing a complaint against her, against slander and defamation. And not just me. Soon, you will know,” she said.
Injury to ex's tooth
In an interview with SUPER FIGHTS, Marcelle described an alleged moment in which she was punched by Priscila. The action, according to Freitas, was responsible for an injury to his tooth. Priscila then claims that the situation did not happen as her ex said. According to the fighter, the incident was caused by her own partner, in a moment of loss of control due to medication abuse.
“The day her tooth was knocked out, I came home from jiu-jitsu training and there was a lot of medicine lying on the floor at home. I have all this proof. I calmed her down. I had dental sponsorship. I asked the owner of my sponsorship to be able to cover the expenses. It was a high expense. I never kicked her. That never existed. (…) This is all slander and defamation and I will prove it in court,” she said.
Serious injury to Marcelle's hand
One of the most impactful points in the interview given by Marcelle was when Pedrita's ex exhibited the after-effects of an injury suffered to her hand. In the version of the fighter's former girlfriend, the injury happened after she was attacked by a kick from the fighter. Speaking about the case, Priscila denies Freitas' statement and explains that the incident was caused after Nunes' new outburst.
“At the time, I had caught her cheating with the singer. She always denied it to me. I found out she had had an affair. (…) I went to argue with her and she went into hysterics. (…) In this, we argued and, in every discussion, it always gets out of control. She gets out of balance, breaks things, kicks things, throws things. At that moment, she started wanting to attack me and had a glass. She caught it and released her hand. It was blood everywhere. I, Pedrita, helped her. She screamed. It was a very bad cut. I just wrapped a towel around her hand (…) and ran to the UPA (Emergency Care Unit). At no point did I let go of her hand. When I got there (at the UPA), I saw the nurse giving the injection and I was watching, in a cold sweat. At the last point, (…) I fainted. (…) I just wanted to not live through that madness anymore. (…) I paid for the surgery, I looked for the doctor. (…) I got physiotherapy,” she said, excited.
Threats from the ex
According to Pedrita, Marcelle's demonstration is in an attempt to tarnish her image as a professional in MMA. The fighter said that her ex-partner made threats to harm her career.
“He is a person who is aiming to end my career. She has told me many times that if I ever left her, she would ruin my career. She tried in many ways to get me to raise my hand to her and, many times, I just flinched. I received a lot of attacks on my back. She hit me. She is the aggressor here,” she stated.
Priscila's involvement with drugs
With a history of overcoming, Priscila does not hide the fact that, in the past, she was drug addicted. Marcelle, however, in one of her speeches, stated that the fighter consumed drugs during the period they were together. On the subject, Pedrita seemed calm, considering that, as a UFC athlete, she undergoes recurring evaluations and, if found, would be notified by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
“I have the latest notification of the anti-doping result here. If I had been using drugs frequently, I would definitely have been caught by now. (…) She (Marcelle) claims cocaine and, cocaine, stays in the body for months and months”, stated the combatant.
Relationship with alcohol
Accused of making excessive use of alcoholic beverages, Pedrita was honest when giving her version. The fighter did not deny ingesting it, however, she stated that there was no lack of control and that the situations occurred in moments of joy and outside of the training season.
“Drinking, yes. So much so that many of her outbursts were because I liked to drink. And I only drank when I wasn't in camp. When I'm on vacation, I like to drink my beer. (…) She was always out of control when I drank. I wasn't doing anything much. I was happy,” she revealed.
What do you expect from the outcome?
Very emotional, Pedrita couldn't contain her tears at the end of the interview. The athlete, however, said that she does not wish anything bad for Marcelle.
“I do not wish her harm. I did this (filing a lawsuit) just to prove my innocence. I just want her to grow up in her college. I dreamed of opening a veterinary practice for her. In this (last) fight there wasn't much (money) left but in the next one I'll make it. I just wanted to help her. I can't believe she did this to me. She excuses the emotion, but it hurts a lot. I loved this girl, I loved her so much,” she concluded.
