“He texted me and said, 'Hey, Georges St-Pierre wants to fight you' and I said, 'What can I do?' I don't know'. I finished (my career), you know? I think Georges is done too. Let this guy be a legend. He's 40 years old and I don't understand why he has to fight. I think he has money too. I finished. I'm really done,” Khabib said in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.
Since throwing his gloves in the Octagon and announcing that he was leaving the sport that made him famous, Nurmagomedov has been dealing with questions about his return. O 'Eagle', however, says that many people will still question the topic until they realize that it actually ended his career.
“I’m only 32 years old. People will be talking about this (for) maybe the next seven (or) eight years. In MMA, a lot of guys at the top are 37, 38 or 39 (years old). People will talk about it until that day comes, I think,” concluded the Russian.
At 32, Khabib Nurmagomedov he must stay in the sport, but only in the commercial part or as a coach. While he was in action, the Russian fought and won 29 fights in his career, with highlights being victories against Dustin poirier, Conor McGregor, Justin gaethje e Rafael dos Anjos.
