The Brazilian Gilbert Durinho didn't care much about the reaction of the fans in Las Vegas (USA) after his victory over Stephen Thompson No. UFC 264 last Saturday (10). The Tupiniquim fighter praised his return with victory after the defeat to Kamaru Usman and made it clear that he was not worried about the public booing after the confrontation. The statement was given in an interview with 'Combate'.

“I was excited to be back, winning the fight against a really tough guy, I knew that maybe the fight would be a little tied up. I don't know, at some point I thought I was in Brazil and I was looking for fans and that happened... Then when I saw that I apologized, I thought: 'Apologize for what?'. You can boo there, the crowd is angry! Before it was the biggest silence in the arena, you can boo, I'm excited!”, said Durinho.
Current number two in the welterweight rankings, Gilbert Durinho recovered from defeat to the champion Kamaru Usman, in February of this year. The Brazilian fighter is in an excellent phase in his career and has won seven of his last eight fights. The fighter has a record of 20 triumphs and four setbacks.
