Former challenger for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg.), Eye ended up getting into trouble in the division after the new negative result. The loss to Jennifer marked her fourth setback in her last five appearances. Thus, the North American lost the chance to advance in the division.

Victorious by unanimous decision, Maia triumphed again after being defeated by Valentina Shevchenko in the title race in November last season. Now, the woman from Paraná is once again dreaming of a new opportunity to challenge the champion.

The fight between Jennifer and Eye was marked by balance between the combatants. Without a knockout or submission, the fight ended up being decided by the judges, who saw an advantage for the Brazilian.
