Cris Cyborg disputes Invicta FC belt against Marloes Coenen in June

A few days after beat Fiona Muxlow at Invicta FC 5, in her debut for the organization, the Brazilian Chris Cyborg He already has a new opponent and a date to fight. The fight against Dutch Marloes Coenen, valid for the featherweight category title, was announced for June 29th, in the sixth edition of Invicta.

The two have already faced each other for the Strikeforce title in 2010, and on that occasion the victory went to Cyborg. The Curitiba native knocked out her opponent in the third round. This was the first defense of the belt for Cris, who in his third fight as title holder, in 2011, ended up being caught in an anti-doping test, which resulted in a long suspension.

Both athletes have a great track record as professionals. While Chris Cyborg has 11 wins, just one loss and one fight without results on her record, Marloes Coenen has 21 wins and five losses on her record.

The fight between Cyborg and Coenen was the only one announced so far for Invicta FC 6, scheduled for June 29th. The location or city that will host the fight night has also not been defined by the organizers.
