Days away from one of the biggest Ultimate events of the season, Colby covington did not miss the opportunity to comment on the UFC 264. With an eye on the show that takes place this Saturday (10), the 'loudmouth' bet his chips on Dustin poirier in the historical trilogy against Conor McGregor. 'Chaos' used the current moment between the two to establish its position.

“(Poirier) will probably beat Conor again, but what does that mean? You're beating a guy who has no motivation in the sport anymore. I love Conor. He had a great career, did great things, but his time has come too. It's obvious that you're not training every day, that you're not working on growth. It's clear that he's working on other businesses to keep his pocket full and have payments in his account,” said Covington, in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

In closing, Colby used the expression already used by the UFC president, who also questioned McGregor's moment, when the Irishman was beaten by Dustin in January. Covington then spoke about the 'Notório' 'will' to continue in the sport even though he became the highest paid athlete in the history of the sport.

“It's not the same 'hunger' as Conor had a few years ago. He’s a different McGregor and, at the end of the day, beating him doesn’t mean much,” he concluded.

This weekend, McGregor will attempt his first victory at lightweight (up to 70,3kg.) in more than four years. Still prestigious, the Irishman can qualify for a title fight in the category, which is currently led by Charles of the Bronx.
