As far as it depends on Merab Dvalishvili, Sean O'Malley will not be left without an opponent in UFC 264 on July 10th. Even with a duel scheduled against Marlon moraes in September, the Georgia fighter offered to replace Louis Smolka at the next Ultimate event. The statement was given in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

“I'm in Las Vegas training hard and I love fighting. It's been three years since I mentioned O'Malley's name. I would love to fight him. He's a great fighter and that makes me excited. If he wants to fight me, I'm ready. 100% chance that I would accept fighting Sean in 10 days and Marlon in September. I have time and I'm training smart and hard. I want both fights”, said Merab.
The fight between O'Malley and Smolka was canceled after the 'Last Samurai' suffered an undisclosed injury. Ultimate informed that it is already looking for a new opponent and with that, 'Sugar' is still kept on the card.
Current number 10 in the bantamweight rankings (up to 61,2kg), Merab has been riding on six consecutive victories. The Georgia fighter hasn't known defeat since April 2018, when he was submitted by Ricky Simon. The fighter has a record of 13 triumphs and four setbacks
