Female MMA legend, Chris Cyborg came out in defense of Francis Ngannou after the controversy involving the confirmation of the dispute for the interim heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg) in the UFC. With a history of disagreements with the Ultimate organization, the Brazilian invited the French-Cameroonian to join Bellator. On social media, the Curitiba native spoke out about the matter.

“(Francis) Ngannou waited a year for his fight (for the belt). 90 days later, we have a new interim champion. He must be coming to the end of his contract”, wrote the Brazilian, in her account on Twitter.
Analyzing the situation, which has been giving rise to talk in the world of mixed martial arts, the Curitiba native went further. Using his prestige in the sport and in Bellator, Cyborg invited the UFC's linear champion to migrate to the competitor, just as he did in 2019.
“I hope to see you at 'Showtime sports' Coming soon, champ. You will love the difference in the culture of the companies and the way athletes are treated”, wrote Cris.
The confusion involving Ngannou and Ultimate had great repercussions after the 'giant' and his team stated they were unaware of the negotiations involving 'Cyryl Gane x Derrick Lewis'. After the confirmation of the interim belt made by Dana White, with 'ESPN', Francis' agent and the UFC president began a discussion about the company's decision.
Champion since dethroning Stipe Miocic No. UFC 260, Francis remains without a confirmed confrontation. A few months ago, Dana himself stated that he was trying to confirm a rematch between the French-Cameroonian and Lewis, who faced each other in 2018, with the North American winning on points.
