Ex-Bellator reveals that bar customer had made racist insults and claims 'self-defense' for aggression

Former Bellator fighter, Joe Schilling spoke out after the video of the 'knockout' of a man in the bar went viral. On your official account on 'Twitter', the American accused the unknown man of racially insulting customers and restaurant staff and revealed that he was afraid of dying in the incident.

“The boy passed by and this i***** bumped into him and shouted: 'Me and 'gas blow' don't get along'. The boy was seriously offended, but he didn't want to lose his job. As the night progresses, this clown starts looking at me and rapping to whatever song is playing while making eye contact with me,” Schilling said.

Additionally, the fighter hinted that the video was filmed after he went outside to smoke a cigarette. He revealed he didn't understand when the man bumped into him, before apologizing. However, when Schilling saw that it was the same client, he lost his temper and reacted.

“(The man) yells, 'Hey,' and I turn around and he leans over me. Bad decisions are made every day”, wrote the fighter.

At 37 years old, Schilling has 10 fights as a professional in MMA. The veteran has four wins and six losses in his career. His last performance took place in October 2019, when he was knocked out by Tony Johnson. In 2020, Joe was released by Bellator.
