There has been much speculation about the physical condition of Georges St Pierre following the announcement that the welterweight champion had suffered an injury to his Achilles tendon shortly before UFC 158, on the 16th. As a result, the fighter's manager, Rodolphe Beaulieu, went public to minimize the situation involving your client's injury.
In an interview with the website MMA Junkie, Beaulieu said St. Pierre “is fine.” The agent reported that the Canadian is now back training, with reduced intensity, and recently ran races – having reacted well to the lighter work.
Although St. Pierre is off after his successful title defense, it is likely that the Canadian idol will return to the Octagon in the second half of this year, for a duel against the number one contender in the welterweight division John hendricks. Currently, GSP has dedicated himself to media commitments – including a participation in the new film captain America.
