Even though he is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and currently ranks seventh in the category, Rashad evans fears for his future in Ultimate in case of defeat in his next commitment for the organization, against Dan Henderson, at UFC 161. In an interview with the website ESPN.com, Evans revealed how he feels about the fight.

“My back is against the wall, and that’s when I perform best,” he declared. “This is the type of fight that keeps you up at night, because you want to do well”, commented the athlete in another interview, on the website mma mania.

Still at the ESPN.com, Rashad evans confided advice received by his manager about his career in MMA. “In the fight business, you’re good until your next fight. If you lose two fights, you're done. My manager Bill Robison always says, 'You're one fight away from getting a title shot and becoming the champion or two fights away from being cut from the UFC,'" he said.

"Sugar" Rashad evans, as he is known, lost his last two fights in Ultimate, to Jon Jones and Rogério “Minotouro”. The 33-year-old American faces Dan “Hendo” Henderson at UFC 161, June 15, at MTS Center, in Calgary (Canada).
