STRONG IMAGE: Fighter displays marks after 'war' against Marlon Vera at UFC Vegas 29

After three rounds of action in 'Fight of the Night', the UFC Las Vegas 29 left marks on davey grant. After the battle before Marlon Vera, held this Saturday (25), the North American displayed the marks of the 'war' on his social networks and made a point of praising his opponent for the fight. The fighters were awarded for their performances and left the card with US$50 (around R$254 at current prices).

“Still smiling. Hats off to 'Chito' for the great fight. I thought I was very close (to winning), but I don't regret it. I left everything there and went to the end to try to win. I'm going to heal, enjoy lots of family time, get back to the gym and try again! Thank you all so much for your constant support, which really means a lot to me,” wrote the fighter.

In the fight, fought over three rounds, Grant started hitting Vera while standing. However, the North American saw the Venezuelan reverse the advantage and received hard blows on the ground via ground and pound. Still, he withstood the pressure and was defeated only by the judges' decision.

davey grant was on a streak of three consecutive victories in Ultimate. The fighter now leaves the UFC Las Vegas 29 with the fifth defeat of his career. In his history, he also left with his arms raised on 13 occasions.
