After winning at UFC Las Vegas 28, Jairzinho Rozenstruik suggests a fight against Curtis Blaydes

After returning to winning ways, the Surinamese aims to face the North American to get closer to a title fight

The heavyweight (up to 120,2kg.) of Ultimate, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, is already planning the future to get closer to a title fight. After beating Brazilian Augusto Sakai in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 28, the Surinamese confirmed his interest in facing Curtis blaydes, if the North American is willing to fight.

“He had been asking for this fight for a long time. If he wants to and is ready, let's go. I mean, he's above me (in the rankings). I'm looking for my place back in the top three to get back into a fight for the title. So if this fight is going to take me there, I'm willing to face him,” said Rozenstruik in an interview with 'ESPN' North-American.

At 33, Jairzinho Rozenstruik achieved his sixth victory with the Ultimate gloves. Now, the Surinamese has a record of 12 triumphs and two setbacks, including knockouts against junior gypsy, alistair overeem, in addition to Augusto Sakai.

In professional MMA since 2014, Curtis blaydes, 30 years old, has 14 wins, three losses and one 'No Contest' (fight without result) in his record in the sport. The American was on a streak of four consecutive victories and was getting closer to a title fight, but was knocked out by Derrick Lewis, in February this year.
