One of the Brazilian representatives at the UFC Las Vegas 28, Francisco Massaranduba was not shaken by the negative result suffered in the face of muslim salikhov. Defeated on the preliminary card, the fighter who now operates in the welterweight division (up to 77kg), guaranteed progress and promised a victory in the next challenge. The Tupiniquim was beaten by the judges' unanimous decision.

“Guys, it didn’t work this time. I didn't fight for a long time. Next time, I'm sure I'll do my best and I'll give you the victory”, said the athlete in a video released on Instagram by Hemerson Toco, the fighter's great training partner.
In Ultimate since 2012, the veteran will continue testing himself in the category led by Kamaru Usman. Even with the 'stumble', the fighter guarantees that he feels 'at home' in the new group.
“I felt really good at 77kg. Guys take care. I'll arrive with everything. I’m already thinking about the next one”, guaranteed the baby.
Although he left the Octagon with a defeat, Francisco sold the setback dearly in the face of a Russian promise for the division. During three rounds, the fighter showed courage and even bothered his opponent in some situations over the course of 15 minutes.
The negative result prevented massaranduba extend their undefeated streak. Before the duel against Muslim, the Brazilian had three victories, the last in 2020, with a brutal knockout against Jai Herbert.
At 42 years old, Francisco, this weekend, reached the mark of 34 commitments as a professional in MMA. Today, the veteran has 26 wins and eight defeats.
