Debut on the right foot for Gregory Rodrigues. Second Brazilian to step into the Octagon on the main card of the UFC Las Vegas 28, the Tupiniquim did well against Dusko Todorivic. In a busy confrontation, the athlete showed an arsenal of combinations and dominated a dangerous opponent for 15 minutes. After three rounds, the athlete was declared the winner with a unanimous decision by the judges.

Showing quality in his first performance in Ultimate, Gregory agreed to participate in the event 15 days after his last fight. In May, playing for LFA, the Brazilian defeated Josh Fremd, overcoming his opponent with a knockout in the first round.
With the victory in the UFC, Rodrigues confirmed his good moment and reached his third positive result in a row. The athlete's last defeat happened in February 2020, when he tested himself in the 'Contender Series'. Today, the Brazilian has 10 goals against three setbacks.
Despite showing courage, Todorovic was unable to stop the Brazilian's precise attacks. The defeat marked the second setback in the fighter's career, which now has 10 wins and two defeats.
The fight
The confrontation began with Gregory taking the initiative with the jab. Immediately, Todorovic started grappling and started to press the Brazilian against the bars. Rodrigues surprised his opponent and reversed the situation with a takedown. Dusko managed to get up and the duel was fought again in the center of the octagon. After being knocked down and getting up easily, the Rio native attacked his rival with a combination of punches, which forced the Montenegrin to walk backwards. The Tupiniquim found a good distance and scored in front of his opponent with jabs and low kicks. Close to the final minute, the Brazilian continued touching Dusko's face with straight shots and crosses, but the Montenegrin showed a high capacity to absorb the attacks. The first round ended with the athletes studying each other, without much action.
In the second stage, Gregory remained aggressive, attacking with precise combinations of crosses, which exploded in Todorovic's face. The Montenegrin continued to show a 'hard chin' and was unfazed. After almost two minutes, the Brazilian looked for his opponent's legs and took the fight to the ground. Dusko tried to get up and the Tupiniquim tried to reach the shore. Todorovic managed to get out of position and moved away, taking the duel to the center of the octagon. With just a few seconds remaining before the end of the stage, Gregory scored and hit his opponent with punches and kicks, but without much power.
In the opening seconds of the last stage, Todorovic surprised Rodrigues with a flying knee. The blow didn't land and the Brazilian continued walking forward. The carioca repeated scenes from previous rounds and attacked his rival with precise combinations. Near the final minute, Dusko tried to break through the Tupiniquim's block with jabs, but Gregory showed danger with his counterattacks. The duel ended with the athletes exchanging blows near the bars.

In the fight that opened the main card of UFC Las Vegas 28, rose mountain recovered in Ultimate in a categorical way. In the clash against Ariane Lipski, the North American took no notice of the 'Queen of Violence' and had an impeccable performance. After dominating in the first round, the athlete achieved a technical knockout near the end of the second stage.
Known for her knockout power, Lipski was unable to put her strategy into practice. Victim of Rosa's precise blows, the Brazilian ended the confrontation with her face bathed in blood.
The new defeat ended up complicating Ariane in Ultimate. Now, the athlete has four defeats in six commitments in the company.
Dominant from start to finish, Montana breathes easier in the UFC. Experiencing an unstable moment, the North American won again after a defeat and a draw. Today, the fighter has two victories in the last five clashes.
