Jairzinho Rozenstruik hopes to 'correct mistakes' from his last performance in the duel against Augusto Sakai at UFC Vegas 28

Disappointed with his last performance in the UFC, Jairzinho Rozenstruik seeks to erase the bad impression left in the duel against Ciryl Gane in February of this year. The Surinamese stated that he plans to return to the path of victory and is already looking ahead to his future if he beats Augusto Sakai next Saturday (5). The statement was given in an interview with 'B.J. Penn'.

“I want to give a great performance and make sure it goes well for me, my fans and my family. Now the only thing I want is to win and it doesn't matter how. Everyone who fights me wants to take me down. June 5th will be a great day”, said Jairzinho.

Looking for a future opportunity to compete for the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg), Jairzinho declared that he plans to beat Sakai next Saturday and then face a fighter in the top-3 of the division.

“A victory over Augusto Sakai keeps me where I am. After that, I want to come back quickly and face someone in the top-3”, concluded the Surinamese.

Current number six in the heavyweight rankings, Jairzinho has a record of 11 wins and just two losses in his career. In his last three fights, 'Bigi Boy' won just one fight, against junior gypsy in August 2020. Between the triumph over the Brazilian, the Surinamese was defeated by Francis N'gannou and Cyryl Gane.
