After controversy, PFL announces Fabricio Werdum's return for June 25th against Brandon Sayles

In addition to 'Vai Cavalo', Renan Problema and Kayla Harrison are also confirmed for the sixth edition of the event

New chapter. After the controversy in his last fight, Fabricio Werdum makes his long-awaited return to the PFL on June 25th, when he faces Brandon Sayles, in a fight scheduled to take place in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in the United States. The announcement was made on the organization's own social networks.

At 43 years old, Werdum enters the cage looking for his first victory in the organization. In his debut, the Brazilian faced his compatriot Renan Problem, when he was knocked out in the first round by technical knockout.

The fight, however, was reverted to 'no result' by the New Jersey Athletic Commission, after confusion regarding an alleged withdrawal – not considered by the referee – by the Goiano man in a triangle applied by the former UFC fighter.

Moreover, Brandon Sayles, 40 years old, is trying for his second PFL triumph. The North American finished Mohammed Usman – Kamaru’s younger brother – via rear naked choke, in May of this year.

BRAZIL IN THE PFL CAGE

Besides Fabricio Werdum, the PFL 6 card also features four other Brazilians. Involved in the controversy against 'Vai Cavalo', Renan Problem faces Russian Ali Isaev. After knocking out his debut, Bruno Cappelozza 'measures forces' against Muhammed DeReese. Already Larissa pacheco e Mariana morais face Helena Kolesnyk and Kaitlin Youngrespectively.

KAYLA HARRISON BACK!

A women's lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) match between Kayla harrison and Cindy Dandois will headline the night. Two-time Olympic champion, the North American surpassed the Brazilian Mariana morais still in the first round in his last fight. Division champion, she has a record of nine wins and no losses.

Meanwhile, Cindy Dandois tries to qualify for the organization's playoffs. The experienced Belgian has a record of 16 wins and six defeats in her career, but comes from a negative result against Kaitlin Young, in the unanimous decision of the judges.
