The heavy weight Mark Hunt He is experiencing the best phase of his MMA career. The New Zealander, who has four consecutive victories in the UFC, faces his biggest challenge within the organization on May 25th. He measures forces against the Brazilian junior gypsy at UFC 160.
With two athletes specializing in the stand-up fight, Hunt made a point of praising Cigano's striking, saying that the athlete from Santa Catarina was a former UFC champion, but guarantees that he is the current best heavyweight in the event.
“Gypsy is like me. He likes to trade standing up. You know, I'd like to test his mettle. He was the best fighter in the world, and I consider myself the best fighter in the world today. I rate my striking really highly,” Hunt told the site “MMA fighting".
Despite praising his rival and being the only UFC heavyweight with four consecutive victories, Hunt says that the duel against the Brazilian will be just another opportunity in his career.
“This is just an opportunity for me to prove that I can be part of the best fighters. Júnior was UFC champion before losing to Cain (Velasquez), and the opportunity is here. I’m really excited for the fight,” he concluded.
