Bisping says Blachowicz pointed the way for Vettori to surprise Adesanya at UFC 263

“Adesanya must go into this fight very confident. Of course, he already defeated Marvin vettori (in 2018). They both became better, but I think Vettori evolved more. I think Marvin, seeing the way Blachowicz defeated (Israel), has a sense of how to do it,” Bisping said.

For the former champion of the group, Adesanya can be defeated within the category he has dominated since 2019. The Englishman then pointed out the direction to be successful against one of the biggest names in recent UFC history.

“I think the way to beat Adesanya is to knock him down. Most people try to fall against the bars. It's easier to defend yourself because you can use them to get up. What we saw against Blachowicz was the Pole taking him to the ground in the center of the octagon. (…) When you get knocked down, it’s harder to get up if you’re in the center of the octagon, because you have nothing to support,” said Michael.

The former fighter and, now, commentator, then stated that he imagines what the strategy adopted by Vettori will be. For Bisping, what was seen in the Italian's last fight is something that could be repeated on the June 12 show.

“I think Vettori saw (what Blachowicz did) and will come up with a wrestling plan, like he did with Kevin holland. Even so, you will have the champion on the other side. I still bet on the champion, he’s there for a reason”, he concluded.

No UFC 263, Adesanya will attempt to successfully defend his third title. To date, the Nigerian has surpassed Yoel romero e Paulo borrachinha, who failed in their attempt to dethrone the fighter.
