Jon Jones reports difficulty in gaining muscle mass and should only make his heavyweight debut in 2022

Former light heavyweight champion, North American says he is in no rush to return to UFC

Considered one of the greatest fighters in MMA history, Jon Jones should not make his debut in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg) this year. On your official account on 'Twitter', the North American revealed that he is in no rush to debut in his new category and admitted that he went through difficulties gaining muscle, in addition to suggesting that the change will only happen in 2022.

“Honestly, I feel like the only people who benefit if I jump early are the other heavyweights. The way I'm training, I'll be a big problem next year. I’m comfortable enough to wait and that’s exactly what I’ll do,” Jones wrote.
