After another successful defense of the featherweight (up to 65,7kg) belt from Chris Cyborg, Scott Coker is already starting to plan his champion's next steps. The representative stated that 'probably' Zingano cat will be the Brazilian's next opponent and said that she receives many calls from athletes interested in dethroning the division leader. The statement was given at a press conference after the Bellator 259.

“That’s one of the reasons we brought Zingano here. Cat has a victory over Amanda nunes so I think she came looking for a duel against Cyborg. A 'Alpha' She's a veteran, she's had a lot of fights in her career and she feels very good about it,” said Coker.
The organization's representative stated that he receives many calls from fighters interested in challenging themselves and being able to fight Cyborg.
“Just like Leslie (Smith), there are girls who call us all the time and say, 'I want to fight Cyborg.'” These fighters want the biggest challenges possible. They want to face the best fighters in the world and they know that Cris is one of them. They all see Cyborg as a target”, concluded the 'boss'.
Professional fighter since 2008, Zingano cat has a record of 12 wins and four losses. The American debuted for Bellator in 2020 and has achieved two victories so far. In September of the same year she debuted with a positive result over Gabrielle Holloway and on April 9th she submitted Olivia Parker in the first round.
