One of the great highlights in UFC Las Vegas 27, held this Saturday (22), Carla esparza believes he has convinced the organization that he deserves a chance to fight for the strawweight title (under 52,1kg). After running over the promising yan xiaonan, the former division champion asked for a ticket and wants to face her old acquaintance, Rose namajunas, for the group's belt. At the press conference after the show, the veteran spoke about the subject.

“I believe so (about being the next challenger). Nothing is guaranteed until I sign the contract or hear from Dana (White). In my mind, yes (I am the challenger)”, said the athlete.
With no apparent injuries after brutalizing the Chinese woman in the co-main fight of the night, Carla states that she does not intend to wait too long to exchange forces against Namajunas. The athlete suggested that the clash take place this season.
“Definitely, in 2021. I think we both came out of our fights very healthy, we didn't suffer any damage. I know her (Namajunas) last fight ended very quickly. After a little vacation, I'm ready to get back to work,” she concluded.
If Ultimate confirms the clash between Esparza and Rose, this will not be the first time that the combatants have shared the octagon. The straws exchanged forces in 2014, in the dispute for the category's inaugural belt. On that occasion, Carla emerged victorious, submitting Namajunas in the third round.
