Bellator flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg), Juliana Velasquez already has a date set for her first title defense. The Brazilian will face Denise Kielholtz in the main fight of Bellator 262 scheduled for July 16th. The information was first released by the website 'DNA MMA'.

Undefeated in professional MMA with 11 victories, Juliana Velasquez begins her reign in the 56,7kg division. The Brazilian won the belt at Bellator 254 in December 2020 by defeating Ilima-Lei Macfarlane in a unanimous decision by the judges. The fighter debuted in the organization in 2017 and since then there have been five consecutive victories.

A professional athlete since 2015, Denise Kielholtz has a record of six wins and two losses. The Dutchwoman is riding high on four consecutive victories in the organization. Her last setback was in September 2018 when she was submitted by Veta Arteaga at Bellator 205.

The duel valid for the flyweight title is the only one scheduled for the event so far. The show will be held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut (USA).
