On the front line of Ultimate, Dana White seems to have become discouraged once and for all when it comes to 'Jon Jones at heavyweight'. President of the organization, the president was not optimistic about the legend's long-awaited debut in the under-120,2kg group. In an interview with 'TMZ Sports', the boss admitted 'moving forward' on the issue and practically nailed it Derrick Lewis as the first challenger to the throne of Francis Ngannou.

“I definitely moved on. Look, I fight every Saturday. We have a window and try to 'marry' clashes and make things happen. If the fights don't happen in that window, we move on and, honestly, I'll repeat what I've been saying from the beginning: 'Derrick Lewis He's the guy we should give a title fight to.' The fact that he is a self-confessed fan of Jones does not seem to help in negotiations against the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) legend. The differences between fighter and organization became public after the UFC 260, when Ngannou brutalized Stipe Miocic and won the 120,2kg division title.
As soon as the 'giant' took the throne,'Bones' used social media suggesting that he would do the superfight against Francis on condition that he would be better paid. Jon's publication was not well received by the Ultimate management, who began to give preference to Lewis.
For months, the parties have been trying to reach an agreement, but, it seems, Jones will have to wait if he wants to fulfill his dream of winning his second company belt. The organization even offered a fight against Miocic a 'Bones', but the fighter promptly refused the proposal.
