“I think I have a real chance to compete for the title. For business, the fight that will have a chance is between McGregor and Poirier. But here's the thing: I'm the only guy who really deserves it in this division. I have the longest winning streak among the top three in the rankings,” said Dariush.

Showing real interest in the duel, the lightweight explained that he understands that the Brazilian wants to rest for a while and enjoy his title but has already speculated on a possible date for the fight.

“All you have to do is give me this fight at the end of November or December. That's all I'm saying. It's not too far. I'm sure Charles will want a break to celebrate in Brazil and do his own thing. So, I'm here waiting”, declared the Iranian.

Rafael Cordeiro's pupil recalled that he had a fight scheduled against Charles, which did not take place due to the Brazilian's personal problems. Dariush declared that he already imagined himself in the confrontation and stated that it would be a very attractive duel for the fans.
