Even suffering a 'massacre' in the fight against Max Holloway in January of this year, Calvin kattar believes he can beat the Hawaiian in a possible rematch. The North American praised the former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) for his performance in the first fight but stated that he is prepared to face him again. The statement was given in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

“I'm ready for the 'sixth round', I feel great. He fought really well that day but I'm hungry to come back and when I don't reach my goal the first time, I just come back hungrier. I’m ready to face him again,” declared Kattar.
Aware that he needs to learn lessons from his last fight, Calvin praised Max and reinforced his desire to share the octagon again with the former featherweight champion.
“He (Holloway) is really tough. Max is in that upper echelon and when you get to the top-3, you have to be ready to face him. He did very well with his strategy, I just need to prepare, improve and come back. I know I'm going to have another difficult fight ahead of me and that's exactly what I want”, concluded the American.
Current number five in the featherweight rankings, Kattar had his two-fight winning streak interrupted by Holloway. Fighting in the UFC since 2017, the featherweight has a record of 22 triumphs and five setbacks. His last positive result was about Dan Ige in July 2020.
