After planned rest, Shahbazyan says he is excited to face Hermansson at UFC Las Vegas 27

Considered, by many, as one of the biggest promises in the middleweight division (83,9kg.), Edmen shahbazyan is willing to give a quick answer in Ultimate. The North American, who faces Jack hermansson No. UFC Las Vegas 27, says he is grateful for the opportunity and confesses that he already assessed his opponent before even facing him.

“Well, I had a few months off to train a little and improve my skills. There were some fights offered that weren't making much sense. We wanted this fight and eventually everything fell into place. We got the call and now I'm excited. It's motivating for me, it's another chance for me to get to the top of the category. Beating this guy will put me up there. I wanted this fight, I’m happy it happened and I can’t wait,” said Shahbazyan in an interview with the website ‘BJPenn.com'.

The fighters were supposed to face each other this Saturday (15), at UFC 262. However, the fight was postponed for a week and will take place on August 22nd. According to the ‘Golden Boy’, as he is known, he is ready to face the best and wants to leave the division soon.

“I'm in the UFC and I have to fight the best, so I wanted to get all the good fights. I want to go out there, perform and be the best. To be the best, you have to beat the best. Yes, I'm coming off a defeat, but I've already learned a lot from it. I think (Hermansson) is a great combination for me”, concluded the American.
