After negotiating combat between Paulo borrachinha e Jared Cannonier, Ultimate also confirmed another important fight for the middleweight category (under 83,9kg). Recovered from the spinal injury that took him out of the duel against Marvin vettori, Darren till faces Derek Brunson, in the main fight that takes place on August 14th.

At 28, Darren till currently occupies sixth place in the Ultimate middleweight rankings. The Englishman, however, comes from a defeat in the unanimous decision of the judges against Robert whittaker in balanced combat UFC Fight Island 3, which took place in July 2020. He debuted in the division with a victory against Kelvin Gastelum, in November 2019. At welterweight, Till even challenged for the belt against Tyron woodley, but was finished in the second round.

Coming off a four-game winning streak, Derek Brunson, 37, established himself among the best in the category by dominating Kevin holland in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 22. Fifth in the rankings, the fighter has a record of 22 triumphs and seven setbacks in his career.

The fight will take place just one week before the duel between Paulo borrachinha e Jared Cannonier. Already the division belt dispute, in the rematch 'Israel adesanya x Vettori', takes place on June 12th.
