VIDEO: Michel Pereira reveals curious personal problem with Masvidal, challenges bad boy and demands explanations

In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS, 'Paraense Voador' states that an American sent a message to his wife; Brazilian also talks about when he intends to fight

One of the great Brazilian novelties in recent years, Michael Pereira has a personal matter to resolve with the UFC's welterweight (up to 77kg) standout, Jorge masvidal. In an exclusive interview with channel on YouTube from SUPER FIGHTS, the flyer from Pará admitted that the North American sent a message to his wife and demanded explanations from the bad boy. The Brazilian once again challenged the athlete and spoke about when he intends to return to the octagon.

Having a great time within Ultimate, Pereira has proven, with each performance, that he is not just a 'showman'. With safe performances, the fighter comes from two positive results in a row and is one step away from reaching the elite of the division led by Kamaru Usman. To reach the top 15, the Brazilian can count on a little push, as he has personal issues to resolve with Jorge masvidal.

'Treta' with Masvidal

It is not new that Michel praises the way of acting in Jorge masvidal. Enthusiastic about the aggressive style of 'Jesus das Ruas', the Brazilian understands that a confrontation between the two could yield good results for fans and the UFC. The meeting, however, took on a curious flavor for the man from Pará, who admitted that the American sent a private message to his wife, Gina Amir.

“First hand, exclusive, because this episode happened now. I would even like the fans to help me. Today, I have a wife, and he sent a message with a 'help', 'amen' (emoji). I didn't understand. What is this, sending it to my wife? Out of the blue. I even have the print. I want to fight him even more and I want to understand why. I don’t even know what to say, because I can say too many things and that’s not what I’m about,” said Pereira.

If not Masvidal, another icon in the crosshairs

If he still doesn't get the chance to exchange forces against the owner of the BMF belt, Michel has another name that has been closely watched for some time. The Brazilian remains focused on a duel with the former welterweight champion (up to 77kg), Robbie Lawler.

“I was being traded since my last fight (the fight against Lawler). My manager was in direct conversation with the manager of the Robbie Lawler. Now, he's going to work to talk to the UFC, so we can close this fight. I intend to fight at the end of May, beginning of June. So, God willing, this fight will happen. It's very good for us. We were supposed to be in the rankings, but we are fighting and waiting. If not with him, then with someone else. What I want is to fight and fight against the best”, declared the 'Paraense Voador'.

Athlete in clear evolution

With five appearances in Ultimate, Michel proved that he has recovered from the setback he suffered against Tristan connelly and the controversial defeat against the veteran Diego Sanchez. In clear evolution, the fighter promised new shows for fans who follow his work.

“I'm training very hard. You can expect a Michael Pereira, in the next fight, wanting to put on a show, fight, more aggressive, explosive, with more determination, desire and with many more blows, because I still have many more blows to show (laughs)”, stated the athlete.

Fighter history

At just 27 years old, Michael Pereira has stood out for his frequency in his career. In less than two years of Ultimate, there were five commitments, with three triumphs and two setbacks.
