At the hospital, Chris Weidman denies celebrating Anderson Silva's injury at UFC 168

Still recovering from the serious injury suffered in the fight against Uriah Hall last Saturday (24) at UFC 261, Chris Weidman talked about supposed 'karma'. The North American, who fractured his leg as Anderson Silva, recalled the case after some people accused him of celebrating victory in the rematch against 'Spider' at UFC 168, which took place in 2013.

“Who says I celebrated when the leg of the Anderson Silva broke, you are totally mistaken. I didn't know his leg was blown off. I just thought his kick hurt and he fell down in pain – which often happens in sparring,” Weidman wrote in his 'Twitter' official.

In addition to denying that he celebrated the 'Spider's' injury, Chris Weidman even stated that he saw what had happened only after going around the cage. He also said that he fought with security guards there so that the Brazilian could see his family.

“After going around the octagon, I noticed that he was in severe pain because of the screams and I immediately went to examine him and tried to console him. That's when I noticed he was holding his leg in place. There was no happiness in my name from that point on. So I pushed security out of the way so his trainers could enter the octagon and he could have some familiar faces beside him during that horrible moment.”

After Weidman's injury, Silva took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery. In his most recent update, the American said that he still feels a lot of pain and will be able to walk again in six to 12 months. He will return home on a private jet, provided by UFC president Dana White.
