American lightweight Jacob Volkmann is no longer a UFC fighter. The athlete himself confirmed the information in the early hours of this Wednesday (20) through his official account on Twitter.
“I just got cut from the UFC today. I want to thank the fans and say that I did my best. No regrets”, published Volkmann, who has a record of 15 wins and four losses as a professional.

Jacob, who is a former US welterweight champion, Victory FC, leaves Ultimate after two defeats in his last three fights. In his last appearance in the octagon, Volkmann was submitted by Bobby Green at UFC 156, on February 2nd, with just 35 seconds left until the end of the fight.
