Dana White wants fight between Renan Barão and Dominick Cruz by September

UFC President plans title unification to take place in the North American summer

The Brazilian's first defense of the interim bantamweight belt Renan Barao it may have been his last. At least that is the expectation of Dana White, president of Ultimate. In an interview given after UFC on FUEL 7, also called UFC London, last Saturday (16), White stated that the organization's plans are for Barão's next fight to be for the unification of the bantamweight belt against the current champion, Dominick Cruz.

“I want it to happen this summer, so I hope he (Cruz) is healthy and we can make the fight,” Dana confirmed to the North American website MMAJunkie. It is worth remembering that summer in the northern hemisphere begins in June and ends in September. In the United States, the summer season usually begins on the holiday season. Memorial Day, scheduled for the last Monday of May, which this year will be May 27th.
