Mocas champion (up to 56,7kg.) of the ONE Championship, Adriano Moraes made history in the organization. Before Demetrious Johnson, in a fight held last Wednesday (7), in Singapore, the Brazilian took no notice of the UFC legend and defended his title in an overwhelming manner. With a knockout in the second round, the athlete overcame his rival and remained at the top of the category.

Out of Ultimate since August 2018, when he lost the title to Henry Cejudo and chose to leave the organization, Demetrious was doing well in his career at ONE. Until the meeting with Adriano, Johnson had made three presentations and was 100% within the Asian organization.
In his biggest test in the company, however, the American ended up suffering a harsh defeat. Facing the champion, Demetrious was unable to put his strategy into play and was surprised by the Brazilian's precise attacks.
One of the biggest highlights of the Asian company, Moraes hadn't fought in over two years. The Brazilian's last performance was in January 2019, when he regained the flyweight belt, lost in 2018, to Geje Eustaquio.
Executioner of UFC legend, Adriano, now has 19 wins on his professional record. At 31 years old, the Tupiniquim debuted in MMA in 2011 and, today, has 22 appearances in the sport.
At 34 years old, Johnson ended up suffering his fourth defeat in the sport. The athlete has 35 commitments in mixed martial arts.
