After confirming the trilogy for July 10th, at UFC 264, Conor McGregor e Dustin poirier decided to spice up the confrontation. With one victory each in the dispute, the fighters 'arranged' a frank striking duel in a historic rematch in the second half. The 'agreement' was made via 'Twitter'.

“I never relax. I’ll meet you in the center of the octagon on July 10th,” wrote Poirier.
Dustin's publication came in response to a text released by McGregor in which the Irishman celebrated his eight years in the UFC. At the time, the 'Notorious' stated that, in his first years of organization, he worked tirelessly until he reached the top of two divisions.
After being hit by the North American, Conor made a point of commenting on the 'Diamond' proposal. Knocked out in their last meeting, in January 2021, the former double UFC champion was ready to promote an aggressive fight, which will certainly excite spectators.
“Good to 'hear' that, Dustin. I hope it happens. Last time you backed off after 30 seconds. I'll be in the center of the octagon from the start, if you want. You know it. I will be ready for strategies this time too. See you there”, replied McGregor.
The clash scheduled for July will serve to break the tie between the lightweights (up to 70,3kg) of Ultimate. At the moment, each of the combatants has won in one encounter, with a knockout for each side.
In addition to having the opportunity to settle differences inside the octagon, the duel will also be important for the under-70,3kg division. The winner will be able to get their passport stamped to face the new category champion, who will be announced on May 15th, at UFC 262.

Good to hear Dustin, I hope so. As last time you backed up and shot within the first 30 seconds. I'll be in the middle from the very go if you want it. You know that. I'll be ready for the tactics this time too tho.
See you in there. https://t.co/RMiwF1rpGD— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 6, 2021
